Bacteriology is the branch of biology devoted to the study of bacteria. This subdivision of microbiology involves the identification, classification, and characterization of bacterial species. Bacteria including both the true bacteria and the Archaea are the oldest and most diverse forms of life on Earth.
Open Journal of Bacteriology is an initiative of Peertechz to publish high quality manuscripts that identify, classify and characterize different aspects of Bacteria that occupy the greatest range of habitats and environments.
Why Open Journal of Bacteriology?
Bacteria are the most abundant form of life. We can't possibly understand the breadth and depth of life without understanding bacteria. Although they certainly can cause disease, the global society is beginning to appreciate how dependent human health is on bacteria. Beyond digesting food, bacteria appear to play key roles in regulating our immune system and our metabolism. There is increasing evidence that our moods and mental health are also subject to bacterial influences.
Peertechz's Open Journal of Bacteriology realizes the fact that there is no scientific field more rich with meaning and impact than bacteriology and therefore urges the scientists, doctor, researchers and individuals having interest in bacteriology to develop breakthrough manuscripts emphasizing how bacteriology is important for understanding the origins and history of life; for understanding the biosphere; for understanding human health and disease.
